Daily Pulse — Privacy Policy

Effective: October 29, 2026 · Published by SMARTNESS HOME. Current TestFlight beta 0.1.0 (2); explicit labelled local Demo mode with no public polling backend, with Google test advertising.

Demo votes and suggestions remain on this phone and do not become global results or moderation requests. Google’s test-ad SDK and messages you choose to email are separate processing.

Who we are and the version this policy covers

Daily Pulse is published by SMARTNESS HOME, SAS (French simplified joint-stock company), whose registered office is 5 rue Agrippa d’Aubigné, 91090 Lisses, France. Contact for support and privacy: contact@smartnesshome.com.

This policy describes the current Daily Pulse TestFlight beta, version 0.1.0, build 2. It runs in the app’s labelled Demo mode. No public polling backend is connected: demo votes and suggested questions stay on this phone and are not sent to a global voting or moderation service.

The beta’s sample results are not votes from a live community. Google advertising services and any email you choose to send us are separate from that local demo. We will update this policy before connecting a public polling service or changing how app content is processed.

Purposes and choices

The local information listed in this policy is used on your device to provide the features you choose. You do not have to email us or create an account to use those local features. If you voluntarily email us, SMARTNESS HOME receives your email address, message and any information you include so it can handle and answer your request. Please include only information needed for that request.

Google’s advertising and measurement processing is separate from your local app content. Advertising choices and any consent used for personalization or tracking are managed through the controls described in this policy and Google’s own information. An operating-system permission and a consent form are separate choices; refusing tracking does not remove the local app features.

Information kept on your phone

Daily Pulse does not require an account, password, email address, phone number or social login for its demo. Its local app storage may contain:

Demo suggestions, reports and sharing

A suggested question in Demo mode is stored locally and is not sent to a moderator or published for other people. Withdrawing a demo suggestion changes its local status; use the reset control described below to erase the demo state.

The demo report action does not deliver a report to a live moderation team. Contact contact@smartnesshome.com for a question about this beta or to raise a privacy concern.

Sharing a poll or result card opens your device’s share sheet. You choose the receiving app or service, whose privacy policy then applies to what you share. The app can tell that the share sheet was opened, but does not know whether you actually posted. Shared poll links do not contain an installation credential. Demo share text identifies the data as demo data.

The polling features do not ask for camera, microphone, contacts or precise-location access and do not read your photo library. Result-card images are generated from poll content within the app.

Advertising and your privacy choices

This beta uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) and Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP). It is configured to request Google test ads. Test ads still use Google’s SDK and can involve network requests and processing of device, advertising and technical information.

Depending on your device settings and choices, Google may process your IP address, approximate location inferred from it, device or advertising identifiers, ad views and interactions, and SDK diagnostics. These support ad delivery, measurement, security and fraud prevention; permitted advertising identifiers may also be used for personalized advertising. Google’s processing and retention are explained at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and https://policies.google.com/privacy.

After the introduction, the app requests Google’s consent information and displays a consent form when required and available for the app. Ads are requested only when Google’s consent status permits it. On iPhone, Apple’s tracking permission is requested before the ads SDK starts; allowing tracking is optional. You can change the tracking permission in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Settings → Ad privacy choices appears when Google requires a privacy-options entry point. It reopens Google’s available choices. You can also use the advertising privacy controls in your device settings. Declining tracking does not prevent you from using the app’s other features.

Daily Pulse does not add your votes, selected answers, suggestions, reports, saved polls or anonymous installation credential to ad requests as targeting information. Its ad requests contain no app-provided keywords or content URLs. The app does not offer rewards for voting or choosing a particular answer.

App analytics and diagnostics

Daily Pulse has no active app analytics or crash-reporting service by default. This is separate from diagnostics processed by Google’s advertising SDK. The current demo does not send its votes, suggestions or local history to SMARTNESS HOME.

Keeping and deleting local data

Demo votes and suggestions stay in the local demo state until you reset it or the app’s storage is otherwise cleared. Saved polls and preferences remain until removed. Cached poll entries become eligible for housekeeping after seven days; cleanup takes place while the app is running and is not a promise of deletion at an exact time. A newly generated result card replaces the older cached card for that poll.

The app has two different controls. Their labels also support a future connected version, but in this beta they operate on the local demo:

Contact, requests and changes

If you email contact@smartnesshome.com, we receive your email address, message and any information you choose to include so we can handle your request. Please avoid sending sensitive information or other people’s information that is unnecessary for your request.

For privacy questions or requests relating to information we hold, contact contact@smartnesshome.com or write to SMARTNESS HOME, 5 rue Agrippa d’Aubigné, 91090 Lisses, France. Local app controls described above let you manage data stored on your own phone; Google’s policies and privacy controls apply to information processed by its advertising services.

If online polling, public question suggestions or moderation are enabled in a later version, this policy will be updated before those connected features are activated. The current beta does not have a server-retention schedule for demo votes or suggestions because that content is local.

Your privacy rights and how to exercise them

Where applicable data-protection law gives you these rights, you may request access to personal information about you, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, or restriction of its use. You may object to processing where that right applies, and request a portable copy where the legal conditions for portability are met. These rights have conditions and exceptions; they are not a promise that every record must be erased in every situation.

Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before you withdrew it. Use the available Ad privacy choices or Privacy & ad choices entry in Settings for Google’s consent tools, and the operating system’s tracking controls for Apple’s tracking permission.

To exercise a right relating to information SMARTNESS HOME holds, email contact@smartnesshome.com or write to SMARTNESS HOME, 5 rue Agrippa d'Aubigné, 91090 Lisses, France. Tell us which app and request you mean. We do not hold a remote copy of the local app content described here. To manage information on your phone, use the app controls described above. Contacting us does not upload the database from your phone.

For information Google processes for its own advertising services, use Google’s privacy information and controls linked below, or contact Google through those services. Changing an ad choice or deleting local app data does not itself delete information Google previously received.

You may lodge a complaint with the French data-protection authority, the CNIL, at https://www.cnil.fr/fr/plaintes, or with another competent supervisory authority. The CNIL website explains the relevant complaint procedure. You can also contact us if you would like help with a privacy concern.
