The Bottle — Support
Plain-text email, read and answered by a human. No ticket system, no bot.
Write to contact@smartnesshome.com — the one address for The Bottle: bugs, a level that will not behave, questions, ideas, privacy requests. We aim to reply within a few business days.
Reporting a problem
So we can reproduce it rather than guess, tell us in your first message:
- your device and OS version (for example, iPhone 14, iOS 18.5, or Pixel 7, Android 15);
- where it happened — the level number, or Endless, Daily Challenge, Shop, Achievements, Settings;
- what you did, what you expected, and what happened instead.
There is no crash-reporting tool in the game that would tell us on its own, so your message really is how we find out.
How do I throw the bottle?
Swipe up anywhere on the screen. How far you swipe sets the power; how fast you swipe sets the spin. The bottle has to pass through every ring in order and then land standing on its base — land early, miss a ring or tip over and you throw again. The Water slider before the throw sets how full the bottle is: more water makes it heavier and lowers its centre of gravity, so the same swipe flies differently. On some levels you can drain the bottle in mid-air to flatten the arc.
If the aim guide, in-flight steering or the swipe sensitivity feel wrong, all three are in Settings, along with music, sound and haptics.
Is there an account? Where is my progress?
There is no account — no e-mail, no password, no sign-in, and nothing to create before playing. Your unlocked levels, stars, coins, bottles, achievements, streak, best endless run, lives and settings are stored on your own phone, in the game's local storage. We do not upload them and we hold no copy, so there is nothing for us to look up or hand over. The full detail is in the The Bottle Privacy Policy.
Can I restore my progress, or move it to a new phone?
No, and we would rather say it plainly than let you find out the hard way. There is no cloud save and no account to attach progress to, so it cannot be transferred to another phone, and if you uninstall the game — or clear its data in the system settings — the progress is gone for good. We cannot restore it, because we never had a copy of it. Writing to us afterwards cannot bring it back.
A full device backup that includes app data (iCloud or your Android backup) may carry the game's saved data across when you restore the same app onto a new phone. That is your device's backup doing the work, not ours, and it depends on your own backup settings.
The flip side is that deleting everything is entirely in your hands: uninstall the game and every trace of it goes with it. See also Delete Account & Data.
How do the ads work?
The game is free and ads pay for it. They are served by Google AdMob, and the limits are enforced by the game:
- Banner — in the menus only, never during a throw.
- Full screen after a level — at most one every three levels, and never less than 60 seconds after the previous full-screen ad.
- Full screen when you come back to the game — never on the first launch, and at most once every four minutes.
- Rewarded video — only when you tap the button: lives back when you run out, double the coins you just won, or a bottle unlocked in the shop.
No video is ever compulsory. Nothing in the game is locked behind one: every bottle can be bought with coins earned by playing, lives come back on their own, and the coins you won are yours whether or not you watch. Declining a video costs you the bonus, never the game.
Can I turn the ads off?
Not inside the game: there is no ads switch in Settings, and no paid "remove ads" option, because the game has no purchases at all. Two things are true and worth knowing:
- Offline, no ad appears — ads need a connection, the game does not. Everything else keeps working.
- Personalisation is a device setting. On iPhone the game never asks for the advertising identifier, so ads are not personalised from it. On Android you can delete the advertising ID or opt out of ads personalisation in Settings → Privacy → Ads, and that is honoured here.
Lives, coins and bottles
You start with five lives and get one back every ten minutes; running out costs you time, not money. Coins are earned in the levels, and the ten bottles in the shop are bought with those coins — the thermos, the vial, the glass one that shatters and pays more, and the rest. Nothing in The Bottle is bought with real money. There are no in-app purchases, no subscription and no currency pack, so the game never asks for payment details.
Is there any gambling in it?
No. The Bottle is a game of skill: the throw is decided by your swipe and by the physics, there is nothing to wager, no loot box, no spin-to-win and no prize of any value. Coins exist only inside the game, cannot be bought and cannot be cashed out. The daily challenge is one fixed level, the same for every player that day — not a draw.
Is it suitable for children?
It is a general-audience game, rated 4+ on the App Store: no violence, no chat, no social links and nothing to buy. It is not published as a "Made for Kids" app, so the ads in it are ordinary AdMob ads rather than the restricted kind a children's app serves. If a child plays on your phone, your device's own parental controls are the right place to manage ads and screen time.
Where is The Bottle available?
The United States only, in English, on iPhone (iOS 15 and later) and on Android. The game plays in portrait, with one hand, and works without a connection.
