Easy Mart — Privacy Policy
Effective: September 11, 2026 · Applies to the Easy Mart mobile app (Easy Mart: Weekly Meal Plan) published by SMARTNESS HOME.
The short version: your plan, your preferences and your shopping list are stored on your own device. There is no account, no analytics, and no server of ours holding your data. The app is free because it shows ads served by Google AdMob, and you choose — before the first ad appears, and at any time afterwards — between personalised ads, limited ads, and no ads at all. If you choose personalised ads, Google profiles the ads you see using your device's advertising identifier. That is tracking, and this policy and the App Store privacy label both say so.
1. Who publishes Easy Mart
Company: SMARTNESS HOME, SAS (French simplified joint-stock company)
Registered office: 5 rue Agrippa d'Aubigné, 91090 Lisses, France
Contact e-mail: contact@smartnesshome.com
Easy Mart has no website of its own: this page, the Terms of Service and the Support page are hosted here, on the publisher's site. Full publisher details are in our Legal Notice. The app is offered in the United States only, in English.
2. What stays on your device
Everything you set up and everything the app builds for you is held in the app's own storage on your phone, under a single key. That includes:
- the store you shop at and the weekly budget you set;
- your household — how many adults, how many children;
- your way of eating, your allergies, the ingredients you exclude, your portion sizes and protein target, the equipment you cook with;
- the week's meal plan, your favourite recipes, and the items you have ticked off the shopping list;
- your advertising choice, the count of plan rebuilds used today, and whether the app has already asked you to rate it.
None of it is transmitted to us. We do not have an account system, we keep no copy, and we could not restore any of it if you lost it. Erasing it is entirely in your hands: Account → Reset the app, or uninstall the app.
3. What leaves your device
One thing, and nothing else: ad requests to Google, whenever an ad slot is allowed to fill — described in full in the sections below. If you choose No ads, not even those are sent. Beyond advertising, the app makes no network call to us at all: we run no server that it talks to.
There is no retailer account and no cart export. Easy Mart does not connect to any grocery account and cannot put anything in a cart. The chain you pick is used on your own phone — to price your week and to sort the list the way that chain's aisles run — and it is stored on the device like every other preference. If a future version ever adds an account connection, this section changes on the day it ships, not on the day someone notices.
Your shopping list leaves your phone only if you send it yourself: Share my list hands the text to your phone's own share sheet and you choose where it goes. Nothing is collected on the way.
4. Advertising — where ads appear
Easy Mart is free and supported by advertising served by Google AdMob. Ads appear in a labelled slot between two days of the plan, inside a recipe, or between two aisles of the shopping list; occasionally as a full screen after a week has been rebuilt or when you come back to the app; and as a video you may choose to watch once the day's free plan rebuilds are used up. No ad ever appears during onboarding, while a plan is being generated, or on the screens that follow it.
5. Your three choices
The first time an ad would appear, the app asks before filling the slot. You can change the answer at any time in Account → Ads:
| Choice | What it means |
|---|---|
| Personalised | Google may use your activity across apps and sites, and your device's advertising identifier, to select the ads you see. This is cross-context behavioural advertising. |
| Limited | Google may use only the context of the screen you are on, not a profile of you. Requests are sent with Google's non-personalised flag. |
| No ads | No ad is requested at all, so no ad identifier is read and nothing is sent to Google. |
On iPhone and iPad, choosing Personalised — and only that choice — raises Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. Declining it leaves you on limited ads, and nothing in the app works any less well. Outside the United States the app serves limited ads only and never offers personalisation.
6. Yes, personalised ads mean tracking
We are not going to tell you there is no tracking. If you allow personalised ads, Google receives your device's advertising identifier (the IDFA on iOS, the Advertising ID on Android) and may use it to build and use an advertising profile across apps and websites. That is exactly what Apple means by "tracking", it is what our App Store privacy label declares, and it is a choice we put in front of you rather than something we do quietly.
7. What an ad request carries
These are the data types Google's own advertising SDK declares as collected from apps like this one:
| Data | Detail |
|---|---|
| Device identifier | The advertising identifier. On iOS it is available to Google only if you allowed tracking; on Android it may still be read for frequency capping and fraud prevention when ads are limited. Choosing No ads stops it being read at all. |
| Advertising & usage data | Which ad was shown, whether it was seen, tapped or closed, and interactions with the ad unit. |
| Approximate location | Easy Mart never asks for your location and has no location permission. Google derives an approximate, coarse location from your IP address when it serves an ad — that is how ads are matched to a region. |
| Diagnostics | Crash, performance and other technical data from the ad SDK. |
What an ad request does not carry is anything about you from the app: no keywords, no page content, no custom targeting. Your budget, your household, your allergies, your recipes and your shopping list are never put into an ad request.
For advertising, Google acts as an independent controller of the data it receives. Its own handling is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and policies.google.com/technologies/ads. You can reset or delete your advertising identifier at any time in your device settings, independently of anything you set in the app.
8. What we never collect
We do not ask for your name, address, phone number, e-mail or date of birth — there is no account, so there is no password to lose either. The app never requests location permission. We use no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting SDK and no advertising network other than Google's. We do not read your contacts, your photos or your files.
Recipes show calories, protein, carbohydrates and fat. Those are attributes of a recipe, not measurements of you, and they stay on your device: Easy Mart collects no health or fitness data.
9. Your US privacy rights
California's CCPA, as amended by the CPRA, gives you the right to know what personal information is collected, to have it deleted, to correct it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. Comparable rights exist under the laws of Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Texas, Utah and Virginia. We apply the same handling to everyone rather than sorting readers by state.
We do not sell personal information. Choosing Personalised ads may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising under the CPRA, because Google may use your activity across services to select an ad. Choosing Limited or No ads in Account → Ads withdraws that sharing and takes effect on the very next screen. That switch is our opt-out mechanism — you do not have to e-mail anyone to use it.
Because your plan data never reaches us, a deletion request is satisfied by Account → Reset the app, which you can do yourself at any moment. For anything else, write to contact@smartnesshome.com and we will respond within 45 days. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.
10. Children
Easy Mart is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. The app is not configured as child-directed for advertising purposes. If you believe a child has provided information to us, write to contact@smartnesshome.com and we will delete it.
11. Security, and its limits
We keep no central store of user plans, which removes the thing that most commonly gets breached — there is no database of yours to breach, because there is no database. Ad traffic is served over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, and data on your phone is only ever as safe as the phone itself: a device passcode and up-to-date software do more for it than anything we could add.
12. Retention
Your content lives on your device for as long as you keep it. We hold no copy to retain, so there is nothing on our side to expire. What Google retains for advertising is governed by Google's own policies, linked above. See also our site-wide Delete Account & Data page.
13. Changes
If we change what is collected or where it goes, we change this policy on the same day and update the date above. A material change to advertising re-asks for your choice rather than assuming the old one still applies.
